Job Purpose:
This is a position for a new college graduate, or early-career Engineer with 1-4 years work experience.
The Project Engineer will create equipment performance models in the SmartSignal Software and configuring the SmartSignal software.
This will include analyzing the equipment to be modeled, model building, software configuration, and quality assurance.
The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in planning and controlling projects and client management; and may run projects after some experience in the organization.
Major Responsibilities (the Engineer will be trained in these activities):
1) Completing project assignments on-time and on-budget.
2) Identify components of Electrical Power Gen Equipment or Oil & Gas Equipment, and map those components to Proficy SmartSignal Software.
3) Use Proficy SmartSignal software to design and build models to diagnose equipment failures and performance problems.
4) Configuration of the Proficy SmartSignal software, and mentoring others to do the same.
5) Participating through the entire project life cycle including scoping, design, testing, implementation, and training. Ability to handle several projects at the same time.
6) Proactively solve problems, breakdown barriers, and implement solutions utilizing the collective skills of the SmartSignal team as required.
7) Comply with established project processes and guidelines.
8) Follow the Proficy SmartSignal project implementation methodology including the use of project estimation techniques, design tools, development of schedules, and maintaining project management records as required.
9) Communication and adherence to T.E.A.M. (teamwork, Energy, Accountability, and Mastery)
Minimum Education and certifications required:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Masters Degree is a plus
Experience & Skills Required:
New college graduates without experience will be considered.
Experienced engineers should have background in rotating equipment, or Power Generation or Oil & Gas Industry.
Excellent academic background.
Aptitude for learning equipment used in Electrical Power Generation or Oil & Gas applications
Aptitude for the use of modern software products, and enthusiasm for learning. Experience with Matlab is a good indicator.
Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
Good interpersonal skills. Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.
Skill in the use of the MS Office Suite.
Computer programming aptitude.
Able to travel 15%-30%.
Self-learner
The following skills would be a Plus:
Experience managing projects.
Experience in rotating equipment reliability or monitoring.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
