Armour-Eckrich Meats, a member of the John Morrell Food Group, is currently seeking an Operations Analyst for DSD in Lisle, Illinois.
WHAT DOES A DSD OPERATIONS ANALYST AT JMFG DO?
The Operations Analyst - DSD develops routing schedules for distribution of goods to maximize the efficiency of route operations. Conducts analyses of route sales people's hours of service, identifies issues and recommends improvements/changes. Prepares and communicates field reports. Using 3rd party fleet information prepares truck performance analysis with recommendations for field reporting. Defines data requirements, gathers and validates information, applying judgment and statistical tests.
Responsible for:
Prepares branch and route productivity analysis
Prepares branch territory mapping and site location analysis including recommendations
Prepares Inventory Analysis by branch, investigates issues and recommendations corrections
Reviewing 3rd party fleet information prepares truck performance analysis with recommendations for field reporting
Using system software compiles territory planning, routing and scheduling for each branch
Creates field reporting for route hours of service, prepares analysis and recommendations for improvements
Develops surveys and gathers data to analyze consumer purchasing patterns, preferences and market effectiveness.
Using GPS data tracks and reports MPG, Long Idle issues, Fast/Quick Start issues and Over Speed Limit issues

AM I QUALIFIED TO BE A DSD OPERATIONS ANALYST AT JMFG?
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or college course work with 3 years analyst experience required
Prior DSD experience preferred
Experience with routing software is requred (Roadnet preferred)
Proficiency with Excel syndicated data and development of proprietary studies. Experience with a wide array of research methods, such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, ethnography, etc.
Experience performing routing/re-routing and scheduling preferred
Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize projects and produce high quality and quantity output that adds value to the company
Superior quantitative and analytical skills
Works independently and in teams.
