SENIOR VERIFICATION AND LOGISTICS MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Managing validation activities
Coordination/management of fleet of vehicles through different test groups
Must have vehicle validation experience
Not managing other people, but should have leadership skills.
The purpose of this position is to develop, plan, and implement Design Verification Plans (DVP&R) supporting product development.
Work with program teams and vehicle engineers to establish goals and targets appropriate for program scope.
Develop and implement performance benchmarking plans in establishing product performance requirements.
Development and implement design verification plans responsive to product performance requirements and program objectives.
Manage logistical use of test articles to minimize both verification timing and the number of test articles required.
Provide inputs to and assist with management of the Vehicle Engineering budget at the product program level, reconciling resource demand, actuals, and allowable budget.
Report status, accomplishments, and issues of assigned verification plans
Provide inputs to and assist with management of fixed Vehicle Engineering resources facilities, equipment, and vehicles across product programs to assure optimized use of existing assets.
Provide support for the continued development and improvement of the verification management process, supplying insights from program lessons-learned to refine the established process.
At least 7 years Product Development Experience
Bachelors in Engineering or Business OR at least 6 years experience of engineering experience
At least 2 years experience with product development process associated with automotive/transportation industry
Effective teaming skills and proven ability to function effectively in a cross-functional team
Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive to completion. Supervisory skills and ability to plan, assign, assess work, develop subordinates, maintain productivity, and job satisfaction.
Ability to interface effectively with upper management levels
Basic understanding of truck applications and associated product requirements


REQUIRED EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Required
Location: Lisle, ILEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
