Sr. Global Category Manager

Description Molex is seeking an experienced Sourcing and Procurement professional to lead our global Resins category. This role reports to the Sr. Global Director of Resins category. You will be responsible for developing and executing resin (polymer) category strategies, including identifying and filling gaps in the supply base and developing strategic suppliers. You will work closely with the internal stakeholders to build relationships and champion global strategic sourcing and resin selection while providing support to reduce costs, secure supply, technical advice internally and to optimize deliveries; with an intent to ultimately prevent stock outs, leverage spend across internal buying groups, and maintain continuity of supply.Molex is seeking an individual with proven leadership skills, promote cross-functional collaboration between business groups, drive communication and work to foster a culture of innovation providing value to the business. What You Will Do In Your Role Develop/execute resin strategies to improve the category management maturity level Lead spend & defined savings plans across resin suppliers Participate and support active resin related projects across Molex divisions and functions Internally provide knowledge and approvals on resin and supplier selection Approve, Update and communicate internally on resin price, vendor set-up changes Support early involvement and advice on right resin selection and suppliers in New Product Development (NPD) programs Identify and manage strategic supplier partnerships; Manage supply continuity; lead to resolve performance related issues with suppliers Negotiate price, contracts and manage key strategic supplier relationships Define and lead the supplier management / performance review programs Leverage consolidated spend to improve TCO through negotiations Monitor sourcing and procurement innovation trends in the resin marketplace The Experience You Will Bring Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree 5
years Resin Experience in procurement, technical / engineering, sales, quality, category management What Will Put You Ahead Previous background in Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Project or Business Management Basic knowledge of SAP, Ariba tools Knowledge of resin industry and supplier base (engineering polymer resins) Fluent in English Our goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
